Dear Readers
Its been said, a journey of a hundred miles begins with the first step. The same applies here, those first pushups you did during the "About Soldier Fitness" portion were your first steps. Now.... does everyone remember how many pushups they did? I know my memory is the worst (my wife won't let me forget that either...), so what I do is keep a notebook and write down all my workout in it, so that at the end of each week I can see my improvements (or that I have been slacking, LOL).
If you want you can use the worksheet that I use, it's in the google group files. Just print it out, cut the pages in half, and staple them together. Or, get a little day planner and write it all down for each day.
*A word about the exercises we're doing... none of them require a gym. You can do these all in your room, minus the running. If you don't have free weights, fill an empty milk jug with sand or water, fill a backpack with books, etc. Anything to provide resistance.

About Soldier Fitness: Part 2
Dear Readers,
Hopefully, you did the pushups before skipping ahead, if not, heres a second chance... DO THEM NOW! Thats the problem with a lot of people trying to get fit, they always say "I'll start tomorrow" or "I'm going to cheat now, but I'll start up again on Monday". Well, if that's you... then it's time to change. For those of you I'm proud that you took the time to get down and push, NOW and not later. (Those of you who still haven't.... PLEASE do...) That's what I expect every day, of myself and you. Keep each other motivated with comments, and we'll get through the next week accomplishing our goals.

About Soldier Fitness: Part 1
Hi Guys,
I wanted to give you readers an idea of what this blog will be all about. As a soldier in the US Army, Physical Fitness is the KEY to my success in life. One thing that keeps me motivated in Physical Fitness is MOTIVATING OTHERS! To put it bluntly... I love to see others succeed!
When I first joined the Army, I was stuck as what they call a "holdover" at Fort Gordon, all because I wanted to go to Airborne School ( and jump out of perfectly good airplanes). During those 9 months of being away from my family with nothing to do, instead of getting upset, I invested my time in others. Any soldier that wanted to get stronger, faster, leaner, we worked together. Their success felt like my own, and it passed the time quickly. Once again, I am in that situation, where I can either be upset because I'm going to be away from home, or I can invest in others... Together, you and I will succeed by investing in each other.
So here's the plan for Soldier Fitness. Every day I'll blog the workouts and diet plan that I'm going to follow (Hopefully, the plan that WE are going to follow) If my diet doesnt work for you, then modify it for whatever works for you. The point is... WE are starting TODAY, NOW and not tomorrow. If you are TRULY serious about getting fit, then right now, get off that couch, put down the laptop and do as many pushups as you can untill you hit muscle failure (that means your arms can no longer hold you up, not until you get tired) I'm SERIOUS. Do it now... read the next post when you're done.
